I have been interested in the human body from a young age, inspired by my mother who is also a medical professional. My interest in sport and as a former Victorian representative in hockey, led me to visit an Osteopath for my own personal sporting injuries and low back pain and was instantly impressed with their approach to injuries and pain.
While studying Osteopathy, I worked for a football club and hockey club, helping them with injury management. To date I remain working with Altona Hockey Club as the club’s Osteopath.
My particular interest in the field of osteopathy is treating sporting injuries, low back and neck pain. I employ a holistic approach to treatment, often looking away from the painful site to address compensations and other areas that could be causing stress to the painful/stiff area.
Since qualifying as an Osteopath, I undertook further studies in Dry Needling, Workplace Ergonomic Assessment and Functional Movement Assessment and Rehabilitation.
Life is about finding that balance and therefore when I am not working I love spending time cooking and travelling. Recently I have also taken an interest in wild food foraging which I plan to learn a lot more about.
Life is about finding that right balance, giving you the freedom to do what you want, when you want.
